At that time, Spano, chairman of PATA, will meet more than 300 domestic and foreign guests who come from Tourism Bureau and Boeing Company of Malaysia, Palau, Guam andSolomon islands. It is said that this annual summit will change the old form of closing meeting and inject elements of Leshan to strengthen all-sided cooperation with Leshan,
During the summit, Apart from the PATA’s Executive Council meeting, General Assembly and otherinternal meetings, will be held in many Leshan relatedactivities, they will host some activities about Leshan tourism.
Founded in 1951, the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is a not-for profit association that is internationally acclaimed for acting as a catalyst for the responsible development of travel and tourism to, from and within the Asia Pacific region. At present, PATA has became one of the three most influncial international travel organizations.
Annual summit of is an important event of PATA. At present, annual summit has already be held 63 sessions in well-known city ofChina, American, Thailandand other countries ,which has played a positive role in the host city to expand its influence and improve the ood reputation and become an important focus of tourism development around the world.
According to the news from a responsible of Sports and Tourism Commission of Leshan , it is Leshan’s honor to meet Pacific Asia Travel Association in the 1st Sichuan International Travel Expol last year. During the Expol, chairman and CEO of PATA attended the " new formats of Emei peak forum about global tourism development" and reached an agreement with the Leshan city that Leshan will host Pacific Asia Travel Association in 2015. In 2014,Sports Tourism Commission of Leshan city officially became the Pacific Asia Travel Association member unit.

During the annual summit, Leshan will organize an international tourism scholars, experts and tourism product agencies to experience the quality tourist routes ofMountEmei,LeshanGiantBuddha XianzhizhujianEcologicalPandaGarden, Qianwei steam train and so on for the development of tourism industry in Leshan.
On afternoon of April 23rd, heLeshan will hold the opening ceremony of the PATA- Leshan mountain tourism demonstration base, thus the successful experience of mountain tourism development in Mount Emei will be widely popularize in the world tourism industry by the Pacific Asia Travel Association. In April 24th, Leshan and PATA will host academic symposium together of which the theme is "new dimensions of cultural heritage tourism to promote the construction of regional tourism".During the academic symposium, thay willdiscuss how the Mount Emei, Leshan Giant Buddha to promote the development of Leshan;s tourism economy with the outstanding representatives of tourism industry, well-known experts and scholars. In addition, during the annual summit, Leshan will also carry out performance which is about the intangible cultural heritage to show the Leshan local special cultural elements for the guests.
