CHENGDU – The Research Base Director, Professor Deng Mingyan, has attended the 1st preliminary meeting for the 1st Sichuan Tourism Society on Wednesday at Sichuan Tourism Bureau.

The meeting agenda includes several sessions. First, the meeting committee has approved the Chapter of Sichuan Tourism Society and the recommended lists of 1st board of supervisors and 1st board of directors for the Tourism Society. Then, a group of scholars and tourism experts were named to participate in the Tourism Society. Xu Peibing, Dean of Sichuan Tourism Planning Institute and Director of Sichuan Tourism Development Research Center, was nominated as President. Zhu Chuangye, Dean of School of Tourism and Urban and Rural Planning in Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT), and Zhang Meng, Director of Tourism Management Research Institute ofSchoolofBusiness Administrationin Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, were both selected as Vice-Presidents. Dr. He Xiaodong, Director of Product Department of Sichuan Tourism Planning Institute and Deputy Director ofSichuanTourismDevelopmentResearchCenterwas announced as Secretary General. And Professor Deng was also named as one of the directors in the 1st board.
